Tracks: Give Up Give InPosted in Lindsay White's Blog on October 14, 2011 by LIndsay White The next song on my album is called "Give Up Give In." It's definitely one of the bigger "rock" songs on the album- meaning my band loves to play it. Haha.

Tracks: 25 Million PeoplePosted in Lindsay White's Blog on October 12, 2011 by LIndsay White
The fourth song on my album Tracks is called 25 Million People. It is the first song I recorded with Alex Zander (the producer of the record). I dedicated this song to my sister because she has remained the constant in my life despite every other possible change. 25 Million People was written from the point of view of feeling small. Small as a person trying to make a tiny difference in a world full of problems and small as a songwriter in a sea of other songwriters trying to acheive the exact same goals. Sometimes you can start to feel small, unnoticed and unable to make a difference. But there is always that someone lifting you up. Haley has always been that person for me. She is unconditional love personified. Sometimes I've played shows where Haley was the only person in the crowd (which I guess doesn't even constitute a crowd). Haley stuck by me through my divorce when I lost most of my friends, she was with me when I came out to my dad, and when I came out to my mom she was the one who broke the news. She has stuck by me through the aftermath of all of that, not just with loving silence but with the assertion that I am doing the right thing by being true to myself. She rushed to San Diego when V was in the hospital and reminded me to eat and take showers. Most of the things I like about myself are a direct result of Haley's positive influence and support over the years. I hope I come close to being that good of a sister to her. I tried to return the favor by visiting her a couple weeks ago so I could take care of her after her breast reduction surgery. But it was really pretty easy...I just gave her medication and ate all the food in her house while she slept. And the bitch still wears a bigger bra than me! I love you so much Haley Marie!! |

The Lovebirds
Give her a soul mate and a major key. This is Lindsay White in love. In this duo, Lindsay is joined by her partner & San Diego Music Award-winner Veronica May. You may be tempted to compare them to the Indigo Girls, but that’s gay. Their music is more closely related in style to other duos like The Weepies or She & Him. The Lovebirds will ...
The Forget Me Nots
Rewind the clock and put her hair in pin curls. This is Lindsay White in an antique store. Inspired by an old National Guitar that Lindsay inherited from her grandpa, SDMA Winner Veronica May formed The Forget Me Nots after writing a slew of vintage-sounding tunes. Other members include Allegra Barley, Kristine Vandenberg, Jeffrey Joe, Woody Barley, and Alex Zander. The Forget Me Nots keep...
Lindsay & the White Lies
Plug her in and turn her up. This is Lindsay White on performance-enhancing drugs. Joined by guitarist Steve Nichols, bassist James Staton and drummer Joel Mendoza, Lindsay & the White Lies give Lindsay’s acoustic songs the rock treatment. Their latest notable venue was the House of Blues Main Stage. Lindsay & the White Lies frequently perform...
