THE LOVEBIRDS
Below is a dedicated page here for all those die-hard "Third Birds" out there who supported us through six years, three albums, hundreds of shows across the U.S., and countless memories. Thanks for putting in the work and the time and the money alongside us - we appreciate you!
ABOUT
The Lovebirds were a folk/pop duo (active 2010-2016) featuring award-winning San Diego songwriters Lindsay White and Veronica May. Falling somewhere on the queer female duo scale between The Indigo Girls and Tegan and Sara, The Lovebirds were known for their mental health advocacy, energetic performances, diverse instrumentation, meaningful lyrics, and harmonies that wouldn't quit. During their time together, The Lovebirds gained local and national recognition - earning three SDMA nominations, winning the prestigious Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Competition, gracing the covers of LGBT Weekly and San Diego Troubadour, and performing as official showcase selections at FAR West (Eugene, OR), SWRFA (Austin, TX), and Folk Alliance International (Kansas City, MO). Since disbanding, both artists have continued their writing, music, and advocacy practices in their respective communities (Lindsay remains in San Diego, Veronica has since moved to Ft. Collins, CO).
